DR. HANS-CHRISTIAN BAUMANN
Hans-Christian Baumann is the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Switzerland in the Philippines.
He previously worked at the International Security Division and the Security Policy Division of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and served
at the Embassy of Switzerland in Tel Aviv and Switzerland’s Representative Office in Ramallah.
Mr. Baumann is a reserve officer in the Swiss Armed Forces with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He holds a PhD in International Affairs and Political Economy from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Patrick studied international relations in Geneva and Moscow. His career spans diverse roles across journalism, public relations, and international organizations. Before joining NZZ, he worked for various media outlets, spent seven years as a freelance PR copywriter for companies of all sizes, and served two years with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in Jerusalem.
