QUAN N. TRAN

Mr. Quan Nguyen Tran the Lead Coordinator at the Manila Dialogue on the South China Sea. He is a Young Leader & Research Intern (non-resident) at the Pacific Forum, research associate and coordinator at the Asia Maritime Index project of Tokyo International University (TIU), and concurrently graduate student at the Graduate School of International Relations of TIU. His research interests cover the South China Sea disputes and Vietnam’s foreign policy with a focus on maritime security and arms acquisitions. He has recently published in the Nikkei Asia Review. His current research focus revolves around escalation management and contestation within the gray zone in the South China Sea disputes.
