DR. ROSALIE HALL

Dr. Rosalie Arcala Hall is Professor of Political Science at University of the Philippines Visayas, and current Executive Director of the University of the Philippines Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP CIDS). She earned her Masters and PhD from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA on a Fulbright-Hayes scholarship. She was involved in research projects on civil-military relations, security, and maritime governance with grants from University of the Philippines, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung-Philippines, The Asia Foundation, The Nippon Foundation, and Toyota Foundation. Her publications appear in Philippine Political Science Journal, Asian Security, and Journal of International Peacekeeping. Her latest work include edited/co-edited volumes Lockdown and Lowdown: The Politics of COVID-19 Pandemic Response in the Philippines (Ateneo de Manila University Press, 2023), Pathways for Irregular Forces in Southeast Asia (Routledge, 2022), and Military Operation and Engagement in the Domestic Jurisdiction (Brill, 2022). She is a member of the Philippine Commission on Higher Education Technical Panel for Political Science and past President of the Philippine Political Science Association.
